Purpose
Purpose
The Manly Kiteboarding Club aims to promote and support the sport of kiteboarding (kitesurfing) within the local Wynnum Manly community (in Queensland). This involves:
Organising social events for members.
Encouraging safe and considerate riding practices.
Liaising with local councils to help maintain beach access for kiters.
Running local competitions and events.
It's focused on building a strong, safe, and fun local kiteboarding community.
Our Kiteboarding club is mostly found at Davenport Beach in Manly Queensland

What we've done
What we've done
Since 2007 we have kept our beach a safe spot, removing dangerous objects, killing weeds, and maintaining the turf as good as we can. We educate exisitng and new kiteboarders on the proper kite etiquete and how to safely kiteboard. We are blessed with a great variety of ocean wildflife and we teach our members how to respect the local wildlife. We share our waters with dugongs, turtels, and lots of other marine wildlife and we kite in harmony with them. We challenge ourselves to improve the safety of our launching spot and help each other landing and launching our kites to avoid any damage. It doesn't stop there, we have bigger plans.
